In this session we plan to discuss the following themes:
- Creation of scenarios through cinema as a way of programming the future
- What new ideas can Russia offer through its films?
- Is there a basic distinction between “Author’s Cinema” and “Big Cinema”? Is “Big Cinema” being produced today in Russia?
- Is there a business-model for the development of the film-industry and capable of placing Russian Cinema among the leading nations? Why is this necessary? Is there a link to the messianic-drive embedded in the culture?
- What can contemporary Russian literature give to the World and to Russian readers?
- How are the achievements of avant-garde and futurism of the beginning of the 20th century reflected in Russia today?
- What is changing in the perception of cinema, literature, painting, and music today? How will they be in the future?
