Adrian Pabst
Adrian Pabst is a Lecturer in Politics at the University of Kent in Canterbury where he teaches international political economy and political theory. Since 1998, he has also been a research fellow at the Luxembourg Institute for European and International Studies, working on politics in the EU and the wider Europe as well as acting as an academic consultant for various ministries and NGOs. Adrian works on the global resurgence of religion, the convergence of left and right, the growing complicity of state and market and the unrealized potential of civil economy. He is a frequent visitor to Central Europe, Russia and Asia. His current research projects include The Politics of Paradox, a book on alternatives to post-democratic ‘market-states’, and Pan-Europe, a book on a European federal policy in a multi-polar world. He is a regular contributor to the op-ed pages of International Herald Tribune, The Guardian and other international newspaper on geo-politics, political, European and religion.
